The Benefit of a Fiber Rich Diet

It’s a well known fact that a diet rich in fiber can keep you regular and even lower cholesterol levels.  Currently, researchers are also finding that fiber also plays a large role in a healthy immune system. Fiber remains mostly unchanged as it moves through your immune system, basically playing the role of an internal broom. A recently published article in the Journal of Nature found that a plant based diet rich in fiber works with your beneficial gut bacteria and your immune system to promote health as well as possibly prevent a number of different diseases.

The scientists conclude that their current research gives compelling reasons to eat a diet rich in unprocessed whole foods such as fresh fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts and seeds. “The role of nutrition and gut intestinal bacteria in immune responses is an exciting new topic in immunology, and recent findings including our own open up new possibilities to explore causes as well as new treatments for inflammatory diseases such as asthma,” said Professor Mackay.

Motivation and Exercise

Before they even start, many people simply have the wrong attitude towards exercise.  Therefore, will never even begin to do so.  I cant begin to tell you how many times I’ve heard someone say. ” I hate exercising, so I will never even do it” That is self sabatage 101.  There has to be a shift in attitude. Everyone is aware of the outright benefits of exercising.  Similar to the benefits or proper nutrition, people rarely follow their conscience.  Why then, knowing the facts do people delay the start of a good exercise regimen?  The benefits for your mind, body and spirit are endless and all aspects of your life will improve including your sex life.

The key is to come up with a plan.  First, write down all the benefits of exercising so that you tap your awakening spirituality and gain clarity.  Secondly, the key to getting into the groove is to simply start and then do it for 22 straight days.  It takes 22 days to kill a bad habit or conversely to start a new good habit.  This is about setting goals and remaining mindful.  Once you are in the exercise groove, you will notice instant self esteem improvement as well as an increase in your personal motivation.  If you are striving for a healthy mind, body and spirit – then exercise is vital to your goal.  Start now, its never too late.

Your Body Will Perform if Given The Proper Fuel

When it comes to nutrition, your body reacts to everything you put into it.

While there are hundrededs of diet books resulting in all sorts of confusion, it’s most important to simply eat right and get plenty or exercise.

Below are some pointers on how to beging getting your diet on the right track.

1. Eat as much fresh, organic raw produce as possible, especially vegetables.

2. Reduce or eliminate animal foods as well as dairy products.

3. Avoid processed food, junk food, sodas, sweetened drinks, energy drinks, and all artificial sweeteners.

4. Reduce or eliminate your sugar consumption, and stay away from products containing high concentrations of fructose, such as high fructose corn syrup.

5. Drink plenty of pure, filtered water throughout the day.

6. Go for a walk after each meal to aid your digestion and exercise regularly.

Smart Eating Strategies

The First Step in Eating Optimally

The first step we have our clients take at  BB3 Personal Training & Performance Center is the most important.  It increases energy, helps aid fat loss, decreases joint pain and enhances metabolism.
Do you want to know what it is? It is simple but POWERFUL and yet so many people neglect it.

Your Main Ingredient…

People are always looking for the magic pill, powder or exercise that will magically change their bodies.

What is often overlooked is the foundation from which all others must work from.

Trillions…not millions…not billions…TRILLIONS of chemical reactions are occurring within your body every second of every day.

For each of those reactions to occur there is a common ingredient. In a healthy person it makes up approximately 70% of their body.

It is water.

I have had clients who came to me completely dehydrated, drinking only a couple sodas a day and nothing else, complaining of chronic headaches and back pain.

Then by simply removing the soda and drinking an ample amount of clean water each day the headaches and back pain vanished.

Do not underestimate the importance of hydration and fluid intake.

This one change to your daily routine can improve not only your body but even your life.

How much water should I drink each day?

A simple rule consume 1/2 your bodyweight in ounces (oz) of water each day.

For example if you weigh 200 lbs then you would drink 100 oz. per day.

*For my international friends using the metric system to get your body weight in pounds multiply your body weight in Kilograms by 2.2.

The Challenge

For the next 28 days, drink your target water intake each day and go to Http://www.IgniteWarmup.com to sign up for a FREE 14 Day fat burning Guide!

Living Foods Versus Dead Foods

Americans and the rest of the western world suffer greviously from disease.  Its fitting that the standard American diet is abbreviated as the SAD diet.  Research has revealed that the quality of nutrients we put into out bodies determines the quality of our lives. We are all aware that engines perform well or poorly, depending upon the quality of the fuel used. Few of us realize that food quality affects our overall performance and health on a daily basis.   This takes educating ourselves and putting mindful eating to work.

Whole living foods are fruits, vegetables, nuts, beans, grains etc.  Dead food is just about everything else you find in your local, friendly grocery store these days.  You want to try to eat living foods and stick to it.  A good rule of thumb is to stick to the outer edges of your supermarket or grocery store, which usually consists of healthier, living foods.  The inner sanctums of your store are dead, processed foods that are filled with chemicals, refined sugar and additives.  You also would be well served to frequent local farmers markets.

Try to eat organic as much as possible as you will avoid antibiotics, sprays and hormones that are added to conventional foods.

You will feel better, have more energy and your concentration will reach new levels if you try to stick to living, whole foods.  Your body will thank you.  You can start by setting personal goals and making an inventory of living foods you would like to purchase.  Your spiritual consciousness willl also be more sharp and your senses will feel keen and refreshed.  Prepare yourself for physical weight loss as well.
